The WOZ for residents

The Netherlands Council for Real Estate Assessment (Waarderingskamer) aims to ensure that residents can have trust in the quality of the assessed values (WOZ-values) of their properties, and that the work is carried out at acceptable costs.

These pages are intended to provide residents with relevant information about the WOZ.

For readability, on this site we always refer to the municipality that carries out the WOZ, because the law gives this task to municipalities. In practice, the implementation of the Act for Real Estate Assessment (Wet WOZ) is often done by separate shared service centers in which municipalities cooperate. When we talk about municipality, this should often be read as "municipality or shared service center".
